General Motors Specialty Vehicles partner with Melbourne International 3 Day Event 

Melbourne International 3 Day Event are delighted to announce our 2023 naming rights partnership, General Motors Specialty Vehicles (GMSV). 

The GMSV partnership with Equestrian Victoria supports the successful delivery of the Melbourne International 3 Day Event – CCI (MI3DE), held at the Werribee Equestrian Centre each year over the long weekend in June. 

“GMSV offers a stable of iconic vehicles all delivering impressive levels of horsepower and versatility, attributes which align strongly with MI3DE,” said GMSV General Manager Marketing, Customer Experience and Communications, Jodie Lennon. 

“We are thrilled to be the major sponsor of this premier event as it provides an opportunity to showcase the new 2023 Model Year Chevrolet Silverado range, including the LTZ Premium and first-ever, off road focussed ZR2.” 

Both new full-size truck models feature a redesigned front-fascia complete with updated daytime running lights, however the biggest and most immediate change is an entirely new interior. 

“The inside of the Silverado has been fully redesigned, delivering a freshly restyled cabin environment which conveys a more spacious and upmarket feel,” said Ms Lennon. 

Significant enhancements include the introduction of an electronic transmission shift control now located on the centre console, while a new sweeping horizontal instrument panel includes a 13.4-inch-diagonal colour touchscreen and new 12.3-inch-diagonal configurable digital instrument cluster. 

Additional LTZ Premium highlights include new 20-inch Sterling Silver Wheels with All-Terrain tyres, Jet Black leather-appointed interior, Adaptive Cruise Control, Power Sunroof and a ‘Technology Pack’ featuring Rear Camera Mirror, Multi-Colour 15-inch diagonal Head-Up Display and Bed View Camera. 

Both the LTZ Premium and the ZR2 feature the 6.2-litre EcoTech3 V8 engine, the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 engine in its class with 313kW of power and 624Nm of torque 

The Silverado LTZ Premium is rated to tow up to an impressive 4.5-tonnes, including trailering technology of up to 15 camera views, with a trailer accessory camera which also provides a view inside the float. 

“People involved with equine sports need a highly practical, dependable and safe tow vehicle to ensure their passengers and horses are transported safely to and from shows.  They demand absolute peace of mind, knowing the vehicle is up to the task of transporting their precious cargo, and Chevrolet Silverado provides this capability,” said Ms Lennon.

The 2023 GMSV Melbourne International 3 Day Event will be held June 8 – 12 and attracts competitors and visitors from all around Australia and is live streamed to fans all around the world.
