EQUESTRIAN EXPERIENCE
I have had a love for horses my entire life, however it wasn't until my early 20's that I decided to do something about it and with that scheduled my first riding lesson! Since then, the rest is history. I have been actively involved with the equestrian community through teaching, riding, judging and being on multiple Club committees. I have gained my PCAV NCAS Level 1 Qualification and have taken a keen interest in breeding Sports Ponies. I am currently preparing my young stallion Belmore Park Perfect Timing for the 2019 DJWTS 4YO Young Pony class, following his win as Champion Rising Star Led Pony at 2018 DJWTS. My two young daughters are also starting to show their interest in horses and riding with my eldest, Clare (3) having commenced riding lessons on a school pony 'Buzz' and her own pony 'Jarrah'. I am keen to support both my girls with their love of horses as I believe owning and riding a horse not only teaches and instils discipline and hard work, but also promotes "the more effort you apply the more benefit you will gain".
MOTIVATION TO NOMINATE
I am an active participant in the equestrian community with a professional background in management consulting, project management and strategic planning and look forward to the opportunity to give back to the wider equestrian community by making my skillset available. I am a highly talented management professional with an extensive background in the delivery of major projects and capital works programs, asset and lifecycle management, development and delivery of strategic plans and processes and the recruitment and management of staff. I have had previous board experience being a past Victorian board member of the Starlight Children's Foundation and have current experience working with Council. My core values comprise of leadership, integrity, respect, innovation and continuous improvement and I am a strong advocate for being the best that I can be and ensuring that others can be the best they can be. I am confident you'll find me a good fit for your needs as a Director on the Victorian Board for Equestrian Victoria and I appreciate the prospect to be part of an exciting opportunity.
