SA Border Restrictions
The SA Government has announced that border restrictions will come into force between South Australia and Victoria at 12:01am Friday 21 August 2020.
This restriction may impact on anyone living in Victoria and caring for horses in South Australia.
There is no specific guideline for the care of horses that can be applied to the wider equestrian community. We strongly advise that anyone in this situation should contact the SA Police or the Covid SA Hotline (1800 253 787) regarding their own particular circumstance. Depending on the advice received, you may then need to complete a Cross Border Travel form, providing evidence of the reason for travel and strictly following any instruction provided to you.
Further details on the form can be found here: https://www.police.sa.gov.au/online-services/cross-border-travel-applica...
Unfortunately, there is not a straight forward 'Yes/No' answer that Equestrian Victoria can provide, and if you are in this situation, your questions should be directed to the South Australian contacts listed above.
