Covid Update - 27 July 2021

The Premier, Daniel Andrews, has this morning announced that Victoria will come out of Lockdown from 11:59pm tonight, Tuesday 27 July. The 5 reasons to leave home have been removed, however some restrictions remain in place.

The good news for equestrians is that Community Sport, for both adults and children, can re-commence (from 11:59pm tonight). Please ensure density requirements and distancing measures are followed at all times. Indoor arenas may also open with density requirements of 1 person per 4sqm. Large gatherings and events with crowds are still not permitted and we will have further information once the 'Restricted Activity Directions' document has been released by the government.

The main restrictions that remain in place are:

  • Masks will continue to be required everywhere indoors and outdoors (except private residences), unless an exception applies.
  • Visitors are not permitted to your home.
  • The Authorised Worker List will no longer apply, meaning businesses (including Coaches) and venues can reopen with capacity and density limits of 1 person per 4sqm. Victoria will return to the rule that 'if you can work from home, you should work from home' but office workers will be able to return up to 25 per cent or up to 10 people, whichever is greater.

We will keep you updated when further advice becomes available.
